Requirements for Tri-M membership

You must have
10 meetings
2 performances, one in school, one out of school
Service
Also please submit your completed point record form and your 3rd quarter report card by April 30th. You must have a "B" average in academics and an "A" average in music.
First year members must take the Apprentice Test.

If you want to know how many meetings you have please consult the board in the music wings. If you have any questions about performances and meetings please see Mrs. Steg.

Next Week!

Next week we are having a special meeting where we will play music impromptu! Remember to bring in your instruments and music you think that the group might like to play. Instrument too big to bring in? Don't worry! You can still sing or talk to Mrs. Steg. People bringing in music please try to get it in to Mrs. Steg Wednesday morning at the latest.

We won't be meeting until after the winter break. If you signed up to play holiday music at the Smithaven mall over the break, please be sure to remember what time slot you signed up for. Swing Dance!

The Swing Dance will take place on November 6th from 8pm to 10pm in the Cafeteria. Tickets cost $6 for one and $10 for two so bring a friend! Tickets will be sold during every lunch period as well as the day of the dance. Unlimited refreshment tickets will be $2 extra per person. People who are signed up to help with decorations but HAVE NOT yet checked in with Jenna Hallock, Asley Ockner, Michelle Chang or Ellen Shrock, please do so ASAP.

Trick-or-Treat Street on Friday!

The official Tri-M room for Trick-or-Treat Street is Rm. 134. On Friday, all people signed up to help set-up for tots please go to this room after your classes are over. For those of you signed up for clean-up, you should be there by 7:30 if not earlier. To those who are signed up to play at this event, the time slot list will be posted by the end of 9th period on Thursday on the Tri-M board. If are signed up to play, but you have NOT yet played for the either Andrew Barbakoff or Alex Cherney, you must do so either 3rd period/ homeroom, or 7th period on Thursday. They will be in the vicinity of the music wing during this time. If you are not signed up, or are for whatever reason unable to play for them today, you are still welcome to drop by with your instrument on Friday and play a piece. If you have any concerns regarding Trick-or-Treat Street at all, please talk to or e-mail Andrew Barbakoff or Alex Cherney.

Blurbs, Blurbs, and MORE BLURBS

To all Tri-M members, if you are writing or have written a blurb, please get it to the Tri-M Historians, Anna Lubitz and Adam Kuhn, as quickly as possible. You can either hand it to them, or send it to them at Trimhistorian0910@yahoo.com. If for some reason you are unable to write a blurb please tell either of the Historians ASAP and try to find someone else that will be able to do it in your stead (remember doing blurbs will get you points!).

Trick or Treat Street

Trick or Treat Street will be held on Friday October 30th. We are looking for members willing to help out with set-up, clean-up, handing out candy, and playing jazz music for this event. All interested members who want to participate in this event (but have not yet volunteered) please contact the chairs for this event ASAP either through e-mail at abarbako@gmail.com or alax1771@yahoo.com, or in person. Please note that you will have to play your piece in the meeting prior to the event.
